REVOLUTIONIZING SMALL WIND ENERGY
A VISIONARY'S MISSION
How It All Started
On a stormy day, Dr. Farb’s call with his parents was cut off when the power went out. With no way to charge their phones, the experience highlighted a basic need: reliable, off-grid power.
That moment sparked an idea resulting in an improved version of a vertical axis wind turbine: starting at low speeds, quiet, bird safe, durable and beautiful.
Shaped like tulips, he also invented the patented Bouquet Effect - an unmatched system where turbines amplify each other’s output - more than doubling their individual power.
Dr. Daniel Farb - CEO

In 2013, Dr. Mark Daniel Farb incorporated Flower Turbines LLC in New York to use fluid dynamics to create more efficient small wind turbines. The company became a Delaware Corporation in 2019, with licenses to operate in New York, Texas, and New Jersey.
The EU subsidiary, Flower Turbines BV, opened in 2019 in Rotterdam.

Growing up, Dr. Farb was influenced by his father’s articles popularizing the conservation movement in the U.S., and his mother, who was a museum director in New York. Dr. Farb has a formal scientific and liberal arts background from Yale University, where he set an academic record, followed by a year of advanced science courses, a medical degree from Boston University, and a degree in Executive Management from UCLA Anderson School of Business.

Dr. Farb also has experience running a small software company with some major corporate clients, writing over 100 professional training books, and filing over 80 patents. This company is a fusion of his love of the planet and the outdoors with innovative science and design.
